— Bringing Nature into a Compact Café Experience —

Designed within a limited budget, White Line Café focuses on creating a memorable spatial experience through one defining architectural gesture. At its center, a sculptural white steel planter wraps around an existing Mexican Calabash tree, transforming it into the social heart of the café. Functioning as both landscape and communal seating, the intervention brings a human scale to the double-height volume while creating a natural gathering point beneath the tree canopy.

The interior palette is intentionally restrained. White surfaces, light oak flooring, and natural timber create a quiet backdrop that allows the greenery to define the character of the space, while black pendant lights introduce contrast and rhythm within the bright interior.

Linear LED lighting is integrated into the feature wall, translating the “White Line” identity from graphic branding into an architectural element. During the day, full-height glazing fills the interior with natural light; at night, the illuminated lines create a distinct presence visible from the street.

Through a focused material palette and a single carefully considered intervention, the project demonstrates how spatial identity and experience can be created within modest budget constraints.
